The math around the collapse never quite closes.
A collapsed core sits at the center, and by every measurement it should not have been enough to do this. Not to every world, not this completely. The number is real. What it implies is not spelled out anywhere in the data.
Every other survey in this catalog reports temperature, atmosphere, water, then stops there. The question of LIFE is never asked, anywhere, on any other world it has ever logged. Not here. Here, for the first time, something answered: uninhabited. Confirmed. Nobody explains what changed, or what, exactly, was being asked.
By the fourth world, the spectrographs aren't showing wavelengths anymore. They are showing non-repeating curves geometric angle overflow, non-Euclidean horizon curvature, sound detected in vacuum—flags that no operator signed off on. I checked the logs. I signed them. But I do not remember typing the words.
By the last world, the reports stop reading. like reports at all. read the last log entry for yourself. read it read it read it it stops being possible to summarize because the letters ARE OPENING UNDER THE DARK IT REMEMBERS.
